Silent Lover.
Good gloomy afternoon,
It’s been ages since my last written blog. I’ve been holding off on doing video blogs lately to collect some material for the new record. We start recording for it tomorrow which is exciting and crazy at the same time. It feels like I just did this? Didn’t I?
Anyway.
I am venturing out across the world in October. I leave for a European Tour on the first of October and will be gone for most of the month. Excited. Scared. Anxious. And way too curious as to what will happen over seas. The Rolling Stone article really helped shape the tour and Im so thankful for that.
Before Europe, I have my good buds Tiny Riots from WI coming into FL to do a week long tour with us. These kids have shown me so much kindness and love, took me in when I needed a place to stay while on the road, fed me, recorded me and wrote songs with me, and I can’t wait to take them in and show them some of that hospitality here in FL. Can’t wait!
In the mean time, I am writing tunes, playing locally and trying to not go too stir crazy staying in the same place for too long. I miss the road, I miss the change of weather, and the strangers I meet, but finally I am pretty comfortable staying home. I like what I’ve found now that I stuck around a little longer. It is ideal to plant your roots close to the people you love and that love you. I’m in love. I love my family. I love my friends. And I love this crazy music thing.
Thank you guys for reading. Till next time.
In a shade of grey,
Lil’ X.
P.S. Fun fact from the road: I broke my tail bone after a gig in Green Bay WI in June. I couldn’t walk for a few days and felt like an old lady. Good news is that the 50+ year old dirty grimy biker that was at one of the following gigs, wanted to take me home and take care of me. You never know what will happen out there.
