Geri X releases her second 2010 EP: The Kid. If her 8th record, The Bedroom Sessions (released in April this year) was as personal as a record can be, in this short album Geri strips her heart down to share intimate, at times intimidating but yet very human emotions and thoughts people usually dread to talk about.
Extremely prolific songwriter, Geri had a hard time selecting just seven songs amongst the few dozen she wrote in the last couple of months. The Kid is mainly filled with acoustic melodies and lyrics equally sad, sultry and seductively contagious to the ear. It is the type of record you replay time and time again, as though by listening more you hear better. This collection of beautiful heartbreaking songs satisfies a thirst from within and leaves you wanting more.
The Kid is yet another hand made limited edition copy EP. It is accompanied by a zine of the songs’ lyrics and drawings, handwritten by Geri X. 100 (one hundred) signed and numbered copies will be available at the official EP release show at The Local 662 this Saturday, Nov. 20th 2010.

Geri X Releases a new EP titled “The Bedroom Sessions Vol. 2, The Naked Truth” and Embarks on another U.S. Tour in September 2010
We recorded a short record (EP) just a couple of weeks ago in Atlanta at our record label’s studio. This record is a compilation of new songs that I wrote on the road this past tour. It was very good for me to come back to writing and recording acoustic.
This EP is an ONLINE SALE only record, which means it wont be available in physical copies. If there is a big demand later on for us to print it we will, but at this point we will only have it available through iTunes.
Now, along with that, we recorded a music video for one of the songs off the record. Please take some time and watch the video and if you like the featured song, buy our EP. Its 7 songs and its 7 of the most confusing song for me, but a good backlash and outburst that came out of all the troubles we had this summer. And acoustic is always a good way to go!”
Geri X Releases the Up-close & Personal “Bedroom Sessions” and Embarks on U.S. Tour in May 2010
Geri X makes public her 8th record, The Bedroom Sessions, in April 2010. It is an album the fan of heart definitely wants to hear. The Bedroom Sessions is as personal as a record can get but with this particular one, Geri goes a step further: she combines the old and the new. This is the place where folk meets indie. The record is filled with dynamics and swooping melodies, giving a new meaning to intense. All songs derive from personal experiences and the honest lyrics tell about what makes us do what we do.
Geri is an infamous believer in capturing the mood and this record reflects everything she currently feels, despite how contradicting the subjects may be. Listeners, who know nothing about her and her music, will be fascinated by the sincerity and passion of her voice, and how gracefully she draws you in and taps into your world. After all, the bedroom is the place to safely remove our armor and share the pleasant and the scary dreams.
The Bedroom Sessions is a strong and cohesive record. Geri had a dream team making it. Thanks to Billy Triplett, John Wesley and Underrated records it proved to be an experience a musician can only wish for. Thanks to the timely involvement of Babicz guitars, Geri’s instrument is tuned up and ready to tour.
In the coming 7 months, Geri X will be on the road promoting The Bedroom Sessions: the tour schedule is available at the “Tour” section of www.gerixmusic.com. Reviews and publications are posted in the “Media” section of the same website.
Geri X celebrates the release of The Bedroom Sessions at New World Brewery in Ybor City, Tampa, FL on Friday, April 30th 2010, at 9pm
